# How to obtain THE·BITMAP·TOKEN to Pay Rental Fee

Currently, there are two ways to acquire THE·BITMAP·TOKEN on Merlin Chain:

1. Through [UniCross](https://unicross.xyz): Use the Merlin Phantom feature to exchange Bitmap NFTs for THE·BITMAP·TOKEN.
2. Through [MerlinSwap](https://merlinswap.org/home): Exchange Merlin BTC or other assets for THE·BITMAP·TOKEN.

The specific steps are as follows:

### **UniCross：Merlin Phantom**

Go to the [UniCross](https://unicross.xyz) and connect your wallet.

1. Select the Phantom interface.
2. Click on the Bitmap - THE·BITMAP·TOKEN Pool.

3. Select the Bitmap you want to exchange for THE·BITMAP·TOKEN.
4. Click "Swap" and approve the transaction.

**Note**: EVM wallet users need to **initiate two transactions**: **one for authorization and one for the actual swap**. After authorizing, EVM wallet users will need to click "Swap" again to complete the transaction.

Additionally, after exchanging your Bitmap for THE·BITMAP·TOKEN, ownership of the original NFT will change. Even if you later use THE·BITMAP·TOKEN to reverse the exchange, you will receive a random Bitmap from the market circulation, and **it’s unlikely that you’ll get back your original NFT**. Therefore, owners of rare plots are advised not to use Merlin Phantom for Bitmap-to-token swaps.

### **MerlinSwap: Swap**

Go to the [MerlinSwap](https://merlinswap.org/home) and connect your wallet.

1. Select the Swap interface.

2. Choose Merlin BTC or another asset to exchange for THE·BITMAP·TOKEN.
3. Set the target asset to THE·BITMAP·TOKEN.
